The Stone Cottage offers guests the opportunity to experience the tranquillity of the Karoo countryside. The more energetically inclined, can spend time at the swimming pool; enjoy exploring the veld; cycling or canoeing (seasonal). The early mornings are ideal for birding enthusiasts. Children of all ages will enjoy experiencing farm life first hand.
The cottage has DSTV, though guests will most probably find they don’t even think to switch it on since farm life offers a wide variety of other, more interesting activities. There are lambs to feed, veld drives to be enjoyed and vast open spaces to be relished.
As evening draws near, it is time to slow down and indulge in a sundowner at the dam. The sky changes colour, slowly the light fades and the night sky exposes a myriad of patterns made up of trillions of stars.
The Stone Cottage has a separate main bedroom with a double bed. An open plan living and dining area is where the family can gather to enjoy their meals and to play board games in the evenings. The living room has two single beds. A separate modern bathroom with shower is ample to wash off the Karoo dust after an exciting day's exploring.
A fully equipped kitchenette is provided. We will also organise a Karoo breakfast for you in the veld for a wonderfully different experience.
This self-contained cottage is ideal for self-catering although breakfast will gladly be served. There is a braai (barbecue) facility with ample wood provided.
