Constructed in 1835 as a farmhouse, this is the oldest building left in Prince Albert and, together with its associated outbuildings, has been restored and converted into excellent guest house accommodation.
Since all of our rooms are in separate buildings guests have an exceptional degree of privacy. Each and every room and suite has been individually designed, furnished and decorated so as to maximise its own particular character.
The Patio Room is a Victorian style en-suite bedroom with an enormous double bed and a Victorian bathtub as centrepiece in the bathroom.
The Cottage is a fully equipped home-from-home suite with a twin bedroom, large bathroom, neat little kitchen and a small but elegant lounge with a huge hearth. Both living and bedroom open onto the private stoep with its view of the Swartberg mountain range.
The Dairy is now an en-suite (with shower) twin room with reed ceilings and Poplar beams. It also has a private patio, ideal for sunny days in winter and a nearby Pepper tree under which to relax in warmer weather.
The Wagon Shed has now become our first honeymoon suite with a double bed, en-suite bathroom, lounge and kitchenette. An added attraction is the outdoor spa bath in which to relax.
The Forge, once one of the key buildings of the farm, is now a popular en-suite double room, unpretentious but with all the necessities and very restful.
The Windmill Room is found, as the name suggests, by the old windmill and consists of a large twin room, en-suite bathroom and a patio with views of mountain and garden.
The Windmill Suite is our second honeymoon suite and, in addition to a double bed, en-suite and a small kitchenette has a spa bath in the room.
Enjoy breakfast on a deck overlooking the Guernseys and Angoras grazing in the Kweekvallei.
