Take a step back in time in this uniquely restored 1850 Karoo barn. Filled with treasures from years gone by, Brakdakkie is the authentic Karoo experience.
Brakdakkie is situated on the original farm Sonskyn, where today you can enjoy the pleasures of seasonal berry, fruit and vegetable picking. Relax in a rural setting, while still being centrally located, within walking distance of all shops and restaurants.
Brakdakkie has two cottages, each with its own unique flavour, and we take great delight in sharing our passion for Karoo decor and design with our guests.
Both cottages offer spectacular Karoo views, luxurious linen, private entrances and courtyards and self-catering facilities.
Each cottage has an en-suite bathroom, one with a shower and the other with a Victorian bath. Or for something totally different our tree shower offers a unique experience, especially by candlelight. Enjoy a good night's rest on crisp white cotton-percale linen, with heaters, blankets and hot water bottles for the chilly winter evenings and fans for the hot summer nights.
Each kitchenette has self-catering facilities with fridge, kettle and toaster. Tea, coffee, milk and homemade rusks are supplied. Cooked breakfasts are available by request.
There are braai facilities for both cottages and, in the event you arrive late and unprepared, we offer braai baskets as an optional extra.
