Approx. 150 years old. The Restaurant open it's doors in Oct. 2003 and is still going strong!
The Restaurant is known for the wide variety of venison dishes served in the restaurant. People come from far and wide to experience it!
We are also known for the wildlife scenery and river in front of the Restaurant that creates a peaceful yet romantic atmosphere!
We are situated at the foothills of the Swartberg mountains and are also surrounded by mountains.

From George to Oudtshoorn:
R328 15 km from Oudtshoorn en-route Cango Caves. Take the N12 for 60 km. Stay on the main road that you enter the Town with, and follow the main road. Pass 3 traffic lights. Follow the same road out of town. When you have passed the Cango Wildlife Ranch it is about 13km to De Oude Meul (Old Mill) Schoemanshoek. Look out for our signpost just before you leave Oudtshoorn. You will be driving past the Cango Ostrich Farm, and just a kilometer further you will see us on the left side of the road.
Arriving from R62 in Oudtshoorn:
Follow the road that is leading to the Cango Caves - Baron van Rheede Street. At the third traffic light, turn left into Baron van Reede Street. Follow this road out of town. When you have passed the Cango Wildlife Ranch it is 13km to De Oude Meul (Old Mill) Schoemanshoek. Look out for our signpost just before you leave Oudtshoorn. You will be driving past the Cango Ostrich Farm, and just a kilometer further you will see us on the left side of the road.
From Mosselbay to Oudtshoorn:
