Just 19kms off the R62 on the road to Laingsburg in the Western Cape, you will find the Beecatcher Guest Farm. From Ladismith it is a very scenic 23km drive through fertile valleys of vineyards and orchards.
Ladismith is one of the most scenic towns along Route 62 with it's iconic Towerkop Mountain peak which can be seen from miles around. The friendly town has a unique history and many architecturally unique historic buildings. The famous 50 year old Oom Stanley's light on Elandsberg above the town indicates the water flow to the town. There are numerous mountain trails to explore around Ladismith.
Seweweekspoort is a must-see day trip together with a visit to the new R62 Kontrei Winkel in Amalienstein for tea or lunch.
Other delightful restaurants and interesting shops await your visit in and around the town.
