About 95km on the R360 from Grahamstown lies the village of Bedford near the foot of the Kaga mountains. It is often referred to as the “hidden treasure” of the Eastern Cape. Angoras, merinos, beef cattle, goats and game are to be seen all over as well as beautiful gardens. The Bedford area is rich in the history of the 1820 Settlers and Afrikaans trekboers.
