Stonebreaker Country Lodge is situated in the picturesque Schoemanspoort on the road to the world famous Cango Caves.

The name "Stonebreaker" originates from a stone crushing machine from England which was used until 1962 for the crushing of stone for metalling the Schoemanspoort road from Oudtshoorn to the Cango Caves.
